Growing up in Nepal, Sanam was always fascinated by the incredible reforming and healing abilities of the human body. And with a genuine desire to enhance people's lives through physical well-being, she pursued Master's in Physiotherapy with Neurology as her elective from India. After her graduation, she spent four years working with individuals facing diverse medical conditions, particularly those with musculoskeletal and neurological symptoms, before relocating to Canada in 2022.
Her academic and professional journey has been guided by a genuine belief in the transformative potential of physiotherapy. She also firmly believes that compassion and professional skills are the twin pillars of effective physiotherapy; and being a great clinician means forging genuine connections with people, understanding their unique stories, and tailoring therapeutic approaches to suit their needs. Beyond clinical practice, she also has a keen interest on research and has co-authored four papers in the field of physiotherapy.
Outside of work, she finds joy in food, fiction, music, and long walks.

Shelbourne Physiotherapy staff provide clinical instruction at our Victoria Clinic for students in the UBC Faculty of Medicine. We are an accredited facility for UBC Dept. of Physical Therapy Student Practicums.
