We are pleased to welcome Emily to the team!
Emily Callendar is from Vancouver island, where she had many experiences as an athlete, being a competitive dancer for over 15 years and continuing to play soccer recreationally. It was through seeing and experiencing the injuries that occurred in these sports that pushed Emily towards pursing an education in a rehabilitational field.
In 2019, Emily completed her Bachelors of Athletic and Exercise Therapy degree (BAET) at Camosun College in Victoria, British Columbia. Through numerous opportunities she has been given the joy of working with teams and clinics such as; BC Lions, Westshore Rebels Football, Rowing Canada, Camosun Chargers Women’s Volleyball Team, Glenlyon Norfolk and Shawnigan Lake Schools.
Upon graduation from the BAET program, she went on to become a Practicing Kinesiologist through the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists, as well as a physiotherapist assistant. Most recently, she is looking forward to completing certifications in athletic therapy, strength and conditioning, and functional movement screening (FMS).
Emily is excited to help others achieve their goals, through movement and education. She looks forward to seeing you at our Main Shelbourne Physiotherapy Clinic.
