Nicole Lakas
Yoga Instructor

 

Nicole has studied physical movement for over a decade. Her training began in Victoria, B.C. where she studied ballet, jazz and modern dance. She later began choreographing for numerous companies and studios which ignited her passion for teaching. She later moved to Toronto to continue teaching and to study dance at George Brown College.

Upon graduating, Nicole discovered her passion for Ashtanga Yoga. Under the direction of Ron Reid and Diane Bruni, Nicole immediately immersed herself in full time studies at the Downward Dog Yoga Teacher Training Program.

Nicole has had the opportunity to study and teach vinyasa, power and ashtanga yoga in many studios in Victoria as well as Vancouver, Toronto, Miami and London. Nicole's creative background and patient, sensitive style creates an environment accessible for everyone.

As a dedicated Pilates student, Nicole is able to fuse together both styles of movement to bring greater body awareness, and a  deeper understanding of physical alignment.

Her Yoga classes are rooted in Ashtanga and always promote mindful, safe practices that are specific to the needs of her students. Nicole's strong focus and bright personality continue to inspire students of all ages and skill sets.
