Jacqueline Sloan
Stott Certified Pilates Instructor
Former dancer with the National Ballet of Canada, Jacqueline was introduced to Pilates in New York in 1981. Jacqueline went on to study Pilates in London, Toronto and Montreal using Pilates exercises as part of her training for conditioning and injury prevention.
She began to teach Pilates in 1995 and was first certified as a Stott Certified Pilates Instructor in Toronto in 1999, where their progressive approach reflects the current knowledge of sports medicine professionals and is recognized by the American Council on exercise.
Jacqueline moved to Victoria and opened the Victoria Pilates Studio in 2000, as well as founding Ballet Victoria in 2002. She has been very busy teaching Pilates to athletes, dancers and people from all cross-sections of life.
Jacqueline continues to expand her knowledge base through contact with a variety of body therapists, most recently completing a course with Tom Meyers, author of Anatomy Trains, who has developed a revolutionary approach to soft tissues patterning through myo-fascial integration.
