We are pleased to welcome Annmarie to our team!
Annmarie Scanlan completed her degree in physiotherapy at the University of British Columbia in 1994. She has worked in many areas of physiotherapy but has been focused on outpatient orthopedic for the last 13 years. She worked in San Francisco for 6 years and also travelled with her work to New Zealand. She returned home to Victoria in 2001.
Annmarie completed a Post Professional Diploma in Advanced Manual Physical Therapy in 1999 at Kaiser Permanente in Hayward, California. This program was a 1 year residency program focusing on the Australian Approach to Manual Therapy including manipulation.
Annmarie enjoys her clinical work immensely and her treatment is focused on manual therapy, education about the rehabilitation process and encouraging self management techniques. Annmarie has a special interest in spinal rehabilitation as well as knee and shoulder rehabilitation.
Outside of work, Annmarie has 2 young children and enjoys hiking, biking and any other active seasonal activities with her family. She is a former member of the Gorge Master's rowing program.
Annmarie Scanlan treats her patients at our main Victoria Physiotherapy, Pilates & Massage clinic located at 100B-3200 Shelbourne Street, Victoria, BC, V8P 5G8. Her hours of treatment are Monday to Thursday from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
